Without permits, without resources, without protection. Only a table, a few chairs, and the certainty that silence was no longer an option.<\/span><\/br><\/br>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every person who arrived afraid left with a defense strategy. Without setting out to do so, we began building the most comprehensive citizen archive of human rights violations in Cuba.<\/span><\/br><\/br>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On September 23, 2016, the State forcibly entered my home. They took computers, files, phones. They tried to erase what we had built. They failed. What they did not know was that the memory was protected, duplicated, safeguarded.<\/span><\/br><\/br>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2017, forced exile stripped us of our physical space, but it did not stop us. From the United States we reorganized, professionalized, and grew stronger.<\/span><\/br><\/br>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What began in a small space is today a broad, technical, committed, and courageous community. And the best of our story has yet to be written.<\/span><\/br><\/br>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Memory is our defense. Documentation is our resistance. Dignity is our path.
