\"\"<\/a>The Cuban state does not deny their existence. While it recognizes a part of civil society, it criminalizes and delegitimizes the work of organizations that have emerged spontaneously and are autonomous.<\/span><\/p>\n

He states that human rights defenders are massively grouped in the thousands of nationally recognized organizations.<\/font><\/p>\n

However, it omits the fact that its leaders occupy positions within the structure of the only recognized party and posts in the state apparatus. <\/font><\/p>\n

Conversely, groups that arise spontaneously within civil society and whose members hold political or other opinions contrary to the interests of the political elite are discriminated against. <\/font><\/p>\n

It denies them the right to register, forcing them to operate informally. <\/font><\/p>\n

He accuses them of being mercenaries and terrorists because they receive funding mainly from the United States government, and therefore, of threatening the rights to development, peace and self-determination.<\/font><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the Constitution of the Republic excludes political or other opinions as grounds for discrimination. <\/font><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
