{"id":7546,"date":"2021-05-14T11:37:01","date_gmt":"2021-05-14T15:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cubalex.org\/?p=7546"},"modified":"2021-05-16T22:39:26","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T02:39:26","slug":"cidh-se-pronuncia-en-favor-de-luis-manuel-otero-alcantara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cubalex.org\/en\/2021\/05\/14\/cidh-se-pronuncia-en-favor-de-luis-manuel-otero-alcantara\/","title":{"rendered":"IACHR rules in favor of Luis Manuel Otero Alc\u00e1ntara"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La CIDH y sus Relator\u00edas Especiales llaman al Estado cubano a cesar el hostigamiento contra artistas, periodistas y activistas en Cuba. <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Comisi\u00f3n Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) y sus Relator\u00edas Especiales para la Libertad de Expresi\u00f3n (RELE) y para los Derechos Econ\u00f3micos Sociales y Culturales (REDESCA) mostraron preocupaci\u00f3n por la escalada represiva contra periodistas, artistas y personas defensoras de Derechos Humanos en Cuba, en especial,&nbsp; integrantes del Movimiento San Isidro (MSI) beneficiarias de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oas.org\/es\/CIDH\/jsForm\/?File=\/es\/cidh\/prensa\/comunicados\/2021\/032.asp\">Medidas Cautelares,<\/a> a quienes consideran en situaci\u00f3n de gravedad y urgencia de riesgo de da\u00f1o irreparable a sus derechos en Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sobre la situaci\u00f3n de Luis Manuel Otero, la CIDH enfatiza en las huelgas de hambre como forma de protesta social y pac\u00edfica, y la obligaci\u00f3n del Estado cubano de garantizar la libertad de expresi\u00f3n, la autonom\u00eda de las personas y su derecho a la salud y bienestar, as\u00ed como asegurar a quienes elijan esa forma de protesta, acceso a la asistencia sanitaria de manera consentida, sin que medien amenazas, presiones o coacciones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frente a la incertidumbre y falta de transparencia en el caso de Luis Manuel Otero Alc\u00e1ntara, hacen un llamado a la comunidad internacional a seguir con particular atenci\u00f3n su caso.
